York Creek Culvert
In February 2017, MRC Total Build began the repair of the existing York Creek Culvert beneath the Lougheed Highway. Shortly after project commencement, it was discovered that the culvert had failed and would have to be completely replaced. The highway began to sink above the culvert causing it to collapse. In order to prevent the collapsing of the highway, Total Build was required to install a 5 foot diameter steel pipe inside the existing culvert, and install a new 30 metre long, 8 foot diameter pipe beside the existing culvert. The project was completed in August 2017 and the flow York Creek was restored.
